Japan: A History of Style

古代から現代に至るまでの日本美術を紹介する展覧会「Japan: History of Style」がニューヨークのメトロポリタン美術館にて3月8日より始まりました。

この展覧会では9名の重要無形民俗文化財保持者を含む18名の金工作家の作品も展示されています。また、それらの作品は日本のIT企業・デジタルガレージCEOの林郁氏より、同美術館に全て寄贈されました。

この展覧会は来年4月24日まで開催され、これらの金工作品は2回に分けて展示されます。（私は写真の茶器を出品しています）

The exhibition “Japan: A History of Style”, which showcases Japanese art from ancient times to the present, started at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. It also features 18 pieces by 18 metal artists, including 9 Living National Treasures. All of the pieces were donated to the museum by Mr. Kaoru Hayashi, CEO of the Japanese IT company, Digital Garage. 

This exhibition will be held until April 24th, 2022, and these metal pieces will be on display, divided into two periods.
